    Joanna

Blackberry Keep is a small hobby farm situated in the fertile Upper Fraser Valley, over-looking the Fraser River.

I am interested in heritage breeds, heirloom vegetables and permaculture, and farm using sustainable methods.  No chemicals or pesticides are used on the farm.  The breeding goals for all the livestock are to help preserve heritage breeds, with a combination of holistic and traditional farming practices.  My personal goals are to produce as much of the food for my own consumption as possible.  My animals are fed organically, but I do vaccinate the sheep and goats.  Antibiotics are used only when absolutely necessary.

Introducing Kevin - Nigerian Dwarf Buckling

5/19/2014

Picture
Few things in this life could possibly be as adorable as baby goats.  The incredibly handsome darling pictured on the left is Blackberry Keep's soon to be buck.
The little blue eyed buckling is a triplet, pictured here with one of his two sisters.  A more perfect colour pattern could not have been custom ordered.
He will be very welcomed addition, and certain to fit right in.
Wait till I tell the does.
